Dr. Doane is a refractive surgeon and corneal transplantation specialist with Discover Vision Centers. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Missouri, he received his doctorate of medicine with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He did a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas and a fellowship in corneal, refractive and anterior segment surgery at the Hermann Eye Center in Houston and Centro Oftalmologico Colombiano, Bogota, Colombia. A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Doane is a member of numerous medical associations, including the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Medical Association and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is an active lecturer domestically and internationally on refractive surgery and has written over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and recently edited a textbook on refractive sugery.
