SMILE Vision Correction on Fox 4 KC

Health reporter, Meryl Lin McKean, recently met with Dr. John Doane to discuss SMILE Vision Correction on Fox 4.

SMILE is the latest laser vision correction procedure to receive FDA approval. Different from LASIK and PRK, SMILE Vision Correction is the first flapless laser eye surgery. In both LASIK and PRK a corneal flap is created, vision correction is applied using a femtosecond laser, and the flap is returned.

Discover Vision’s Refractive Team is one of the only clinics in the country to be involved in SMILE Vision clinical research trials over the past several years. Patients who participated in the trials were treated with LASIK in one eye and SMILE Vision in the other. SMILE is a low invasive vision correction procedure with faster healing times.
