request an appointment locationsSusan Mosier, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Board Certified ophthalmologist and surgeon at Discover Vision in Leawood. She provides examination, diagnosis, treatment and surgery for diseases and injuries of the eye. As part of Discover Vision’s Refractive Team, Dr. Mosier is also experienced in vision correction procedures such as Full Focus and Light Adjustable Lens.
Prior to joining Discover Vision Centers, Dr. Susan Mosier started, owned and operated a solo ophthalmology practice serving patient’s medical and surgical ophthalmic needs in Manhattan, Kansas, and was the first ophthalmologist to perform LASIK, LASEK, and PRK surgeries within the community. Dr. Mosier went on to serve the State of Kansas in the Kansas House of Representatives, and also led the State’s largest and most complex regulatory agency, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
Dr. Mosier graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kansas State University and received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed an internship at the Wichita Center for Graduate Medical Education, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Dr. Mosier has been in practice for more than 20 years.
