The Chipman exit from 50 hwy will be closed for approximately 5 months, beginning March of 2022. Please plan accordingly when traveling to and from Discover Vision Lee’s Summit. The bridge over Chipman, not just the exits, will be also be closed at some point, as it is set to be rebuilt during phase two. At that time, Chipman Road between Murray and Blue Ridge Pkwy (indicated in red below) will also be closed. This will likely cause significant traffic delays in that area. Please take road closures into consideration and plan additional travel time and/or find an alternate route.
Here is one of the most common alternate routes available: From East bound 50 Hwy, take the 3rd Street exit and an immediate right onto the outer road NW Oldham Pkwy. Follow this road to a four way stop. Turn right onto NW Murray Rd, and Discover Vision will be on your right.

From I-470, exit onto 50 Hwy East via Exit 7A. Take the Chipman Rd. exit and turn Right onto NW Chipman Rd. Immediately get into the Left turning lane and turn Left at the first stop light (NW Murray Rd.). Follow the curve about a half mile, passing Houlihans and the John Knox Pavilion, until you reach 425 NW Murray on the left. Discover Vision is located on the east side of the street adjacent to the John Knox Auxiliary Thrift Shop.
Take 291 North to 50 Hwy West toward Kansas City. Take the Chipman Rd. exit and turn Left onto NW Chipman Rd. After you cross under the highway, turn Left onto NW Murray Rd. Follow the curve about a half mile, passing Houlihans and the John Knox Pavilion, until you reach 425 NW Murray on the left.
