First, our consultation is free of charge* with no obligation to proceed with surgery. You will learn more about what we do, and we will listen intently about your lifestyle needs, and how you’d like LASIK or SMILE to fit into the things you do every day.
You’ve already taken a huge step by scheduling a consultation. From here, all you have to do is arrive to your scheduled appointment. If you wear soft contact lenses, please plan to be out of your lenses for 3 days prior to your evaluation.
During your evaluation, we will perform a series of tests to determine whether you are a good candidate, and if so, which procedure is best for you. We are excited for the opportunity to listen, learn, educate and importantly, address any concerns or questions you may have.
If for some reason, you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact our office at 816-478-1230. Please note: Discover Vision Centers reserves the right to charge a fee for appointments that are unkept or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
*Consultations are free of charge for patients who have not had previous Laser Vision Correction. If you have had previous surgery, this would be considered a Level 4 visit which is approximately $200. Insurance does not cover fees for elective procedures; however, you can use HSA or FSA accounts to cover the examination cost, as well as the cost of LASIK or SMILE surgery.
